Lt. Governor Howie Morales

Lt. Gov. Howie Morales is well-versed on the ins and outs of a classroom, as his professional career started out in teaching. He spent 15 years in the teaching profession, 10 of those in a classroom with special education, history, biology and driver’s ed. The Lt. Gov also holds a PhD in Curriculum and Educational Management and Leadership from New Mexico State University. The son of a miner, he talks about mining and labor unions and how his hometown's history has influenced his work today. He also talks about the importance of mental health awareness for our students, families and teachers.
